Down Syndrom Competence Centre and School

In 2017, the Viennese School Board asked the Leopoldschule to develop, plan and operate the Viennese Down Syndrome Competence Centre. The competence transfer as well as the necessary pedagogical resources are provided by the Viennese School Board. The equipment was provided by private sponsors.

The centres central task is to secure and provide availability of new methods and didactics for students* with Down Syndrome. This service is provided for teachers* only. This focuses especially on the implementation of a inclusive pedagogic for children with Down Syndrome.
